So I just got a Huion H610 tablet for Christmas from my parents. I am extremely grateful since I've wanted something like this for a while. The problem I'm having with it is that I don't technically know how to use it. I mean, it's only been a day, but I'd love any tips would be great. It's difficult for me to look at both the screen and my hand on the tablet. So any advice would be nice.
Playing Fallout and drawing Overwatch
I just bought a PS4 a while ago and one of the games I purchased was Fallout 4. The main story isn't that good but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. I'm working on some Overwatch sketches too, so look out for those.
Sorry for recent lack of content
I had to finish two essays for two different classes for college. Now I have to prepare two speeches for two different classes.
I'm working on other art stuff right now, but I'll need to finish then later.
College keeps getting in the way!
So I'm working on a few sketched right now and they're almost finished, but at the same time I have several assignments to do this week and over Spring Break. Hopefully when that's done I can keep working on my artwork without any distractions.
Wasted my Time
So for the past week I've been working on a Ryu sketch that I was going to pretty up on Adobe illustrator. Even though the picture looks fine on paper, I'm having a difficult time doing the line art. So I'm just going to put it away for now, which stinks since I haven't posted any artwork here in a while. I'll probably just do some line art of the Jasper and Steven drawing I made.

You'll ease into it. A true artist can use any tool to make something and the more you use the tool, the more proficient you'll become with it. One thing you should do with the tablet is that after using your program of choice, find out what buttons you use the most and which ones are more troublesome to find on a keyboard. For me, using Photoshop on a PC, it's second nature to do hotkey stuff like layer merging, copying, cutting, deselecting and undoing with my keyboard. Other hotkeys I use most often on my tablet are Rotate, Pan/scroll, Flip, screen switch (I have two monitors), Expand Selection and Contract Selection. But that's just me. Find out the most troublesome things you use most often and then figure out a way to hotkey it. But you pretty much gotta play with stuff and figure them out. It's your stuff, mess with it as much as you can and find out what tricks it can do.
